The following policies are intended to instill an atmosphere of friendliness and cooperation among the residents who make this their home.

 

1. Residents are free to express their likes and dislikes in an agreeable manner and expect the same courteous manner from staff and other residents
2. Residents may use the television and radio, but should consider others’ personal tastes in programs.  Volume of their programs needs to be taken into consideration as well.  If a resident if hard of hearing he/she should devise a method to reduce the volume so as not to disturb others
3. Residents are encouraged to maintain good hygiene with regular bathing and change of clothes
4. Meals are provided on a regular basis.  Breakfast at 9-10:00 am, Lunch at 2-3:30pm and Dinner at 7:00pm.  Snacks are served at 11:00am, 4:00pm and 9:00pm if desired
5. This foster care home does not serve pork meat, or pork products
6. Prescription medications will be issued only as prescribed/reviewed by the resident’s physician
7. There will be no smoking inside this foster care home.  However, if a resident desires to smoke, he/she may do so only outside on the deck
8. Alcohol is allowed on the premises of this foster care home
9. Medical Marijuana is NOT allowed in this home
10. Residents are expected to participate in fire evacuation drills
11. With the exception of visits, there will be no pets allowed in this foster care home
12. A telephone is available for the resident’s s use.  Long distance calls are charged to the person who placed the call
13. Visiting hours: 9:00am to 8:00pm, seven days per week
14. Intercoms used to monitor residents night care needs if necessary.  A Resident has the right to shut them off or request that they be shut off.
